Troubleshooting - EdgeStar Dishwashers

Issue	Possible Cause	Solution
The dishwasher will not turn on	There was a power failure	Restore the power supply
	Insufficient amperage	Move unit to another outlet that is able to provide sufficient amperage
	No power at the outlet	Check the electrical connection via the fuse/circuit breaker box
	Door is unlatched	Close and latch the door
	Unit is unleveled	Level the unit
	The plug is not correctly inserted into the socket	Insert the plug correctly into the socket
	The power cord is damaged	Call for service. Only authorized service providers should replace damaged cords
	The power supply voltage is too low	Move the unit onto another circuit with the correct voltage

Dishes are not being cleaned	Improper loading	Arrange dishes so that the spray action reaches all surfaces
	Spray arm not rotating freely	Check the spray arm to make sure no items are obstructing the rotation
	Not enough detergent	You may need to add more detergent. Note: Do not use detergent that is hard or cracked
	Water inlet hose is kinked or bent	Check your inlet hose and remove any kinks or bends
	Excess food on dishes	Rinse excess food from dishes

E1 Error Code - Abnormally long water fill time	Low water pressure	Increase the water pressure going into the unit
E1 Error Code - Abnormally long water fill time	Water inlet hose is kinked or bent	Check your inlet hose and remove any kinks or bends

E2 Error Code - Abnormally long water drain time	The drain line is too long	Do not extend the drain hose
	Drain line rises too high	Make sure the unit is on the counter and not below it
	Drain hose is kinked	Check your drain hose and remove any kinks or bends

E3 Error Code - Abnormally long water heat time	Incoming water temperature is too cold	Increase the water temperature going into the unit
	Water heater malfunction	Contact customer support
	Water heater sensor malfunction	Contact customer support

E4 Error Code - Internal water level too high	Water pressure too high	Decrease the water pressure going into the unit
	Inlet hose not properly connected	Make sure the inlet hose is not connected to the drain valve
	Drain malfunction	Contact customer support
