| Temperature is critically important |
| Temperature is of great importance as it relates to most beer tasting problems. Therefore, before you buy a keg of beer it is important to allow your beer refrigerator to cool down to the low 40s ° F . On the EdgeStar TBC50BL model, the thermostat is automatically set this specified temperature while EdgeStar recommends that for the KC2000 model you place a thermometer in a glass of water and take the temperature of the thermometer in the glass. |

| CO2 makes your beer taste good |
| Understanding the relationship between the beer and the gas pressure is the key to dispensing a high quality great tasting beer. A gas regulator is used for maintaining carbonation and pressure for the dispensing of draft beer from the keg to the faucet, unless it is a Heineken mini keg. The intent of breweries is to keep the quality of their beer perfect from brewing until dispensed and consumed by the end user. The gas selected should only be viewed as the pressure of the system, and should never change the carbonation level of the product as prescribed by the brewery. Quality begins with selecting the proper gas source. Oxygen is beers malefactor, that is why 100% C02 is the preferred gas for direct draw units and home Kegerators. These systems require a primary CO2 regulator and may require one or more secondary CO2 regulator(s) if different beer(s) with different carbonation levels are on tap. The TBC50BL does not require a regulator as the Heineken keg provides the prescribed amount of CO2 and carbonation as required for their beer. |

| Coupling brings it all together |
| The coupler is a very important component to your keg dispensing system. On one side it accepts the CO2 stemming from your regulator and the CO2 tank. On the bottom it locks into place with the Sankey keg allowing the beer to flow up into the coupler and into your faucet. while the CO2 and beer do not mix inside the coupler, it facilitates the mixture of both inside the keg allowing you to enjoy that perfectly poured beer. |
