When deciding which model EdgeStar washer dryer combo to purchase, you are faced with one main question; vented or ventless? Here are a few things to consider when deciding between the two options.   Can you vent the washer dryer? If you have an existing dryer vent (4” diameter), you may be better off going with a vented model (CW1210V). It will dry more quickly and it will produce results similar to those you may be used to getting from a “standard” dryer. Do you need the portability option? If you need to make your washer dryer combo portable, then it is usually best to go with a nonvented model (CW1200 or CW2200.) The vented model can have casters installed on it and it can run with water from a sink faucet, but it must be vented somewhere, which can be difficult to do in a portable installation.   Note: The EdgeStar Series of Washer Dryer Combo units have been discontinued and are no longer in production.
