LivingDirect, Inc. began as Richlund Ventures in Austin, Texas after our founder and CEO, Rick Lundbom, launched CompactAppliance.com, the first LivingDirect Network site, in 1999. Rick grew up around appliances as both his dad and grandfather sold appliances for boats and RVs. Rick quickly realized his family's business had the potential to reach a wider group of customers by launching a website. Since launching his first website LivingDirect has seen double-digit growth every year and continues to add new websites to the network, all dedicated to serving a niche market. LivingDirect currently has over 70 employees and 3 distribution centers across the Unites States. The headquarters are located on the west side of Austin Texas, just east of the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
